Intern - Food and Beverage

We are currently searching for highly motivated Graduate and Undergraduate student interns to join our dynamic Marine Operations - Food and Beverage department. The selected interns will work on departmental projects as well as participate in professional development and enrichment activities.

DATES

  • Program runs 10 weeks from June 17th - August 23rd. (Please note that end dates could be extended depending on department needs and students availability.)

ELIGIBILITY

  • Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate (rising junior or rising senior) or graduate program with a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher (will require transcripts) in a four year accredited College/University.

PROJECT(S)

  • The intern will be assisting on multiple roll outs of new programming, including the new James Suckling wine list, Club Orange, a new pop up restaurant concept for longer voyages, and increased itinerary specific programming. The intern will also help us standardize our current processes to make them easier for the fleet.
  • The intern will learn about how to weigh the many factors that go into a successful department - keeping costs down while not cutting quality, driving revenue, and focusing on guest satisfaction. They will also learn about all of our different corporate and onboard positions and how we work together to be the #1 onboard revenue department. It is an extremely fast-paced environment that has challenges from product delivery to employee scheduling to itinerary planning.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in hospitality and/or food and beverage industry

COMPENSATION

Paid hourly; $18.00 an hour for Undergraduate Students.

MAJORS PREFERRED

  • (May include but not limited to): Open for any undergraduate student studying hospitality, hotel & tourism or business management.
