Responsibilities:

  • Programs burn table to meet production needs
  • You will be actively involved in continuous process improvement with manufacturing including;

Identifying and actioning waste elimination

  • Defining and implementing build processes with consideration to appropriate Health, Safety and Quality standards
  • Ensuring support process documentation with particular attention to visual management techniques and 5S
  • Proactively utilize both lean principles and problem solving tools and techniques within the workplace to respond to production variation and build quality issues
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing related problems, Cost of Quality concerns and issues raised by teams across the facility, and leading problem solving teams where appropriate
  • Work on cross-functional projects to ensure smooth transition across the manufacturing facility.
  • Conducting periodic inspections of various aspects of the manufacturing process such as, but not limited to assembly, welding, and machine operations
  • Studies utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and team members to suggest improvements to enhance productivity
  • Conducts floor inspections and documents audits
  • Creates new or makes changes to BOM's
  • Assists with optimizing efficiency by learning to analyze layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4+ years of manufacturing or engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft programs
  • Knowledge and use of quality analysis and problem solving techniques
  • Ability to read and create engineering drawings
  • Understanding of Jig & Tool design, in particular for welded fabrications
  • Requires the ability to convert designs into production action plans.
  • Ability to learn and perform within the principles of Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time, and Total Quality Management.
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities.
