The Detroit-Redford Meijer, located at 21431 Grand River Ave in Detroit, will be holding Open Interviews 7/7/2019 from 9 AM - 12 PM and 1 PM - 4 PM.
Report to the outside Garden Center Entrance to sign-in for an interview time slots. Please apply prior to your interview time to expedite the interview/hiring process. Interviews will continue until all time slots are full. If you are not able to interviewed, your submitted application will be reviewed at a later date.
Bring your valid government issued ID (State ID, Driver's license, social security card, passport etc. for I-9 completion) in case of immediate hire.
Candidates must wear a face mask and complete a health screen. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines.
We are currently looking for new team members to join our team in the following positions:
- Cashier(Available between 2 PM - Midnight)
- Deli/Bakery Clerk (Available between 2 PM - 11 PM)
- General Merchandise Clerk (Available between 2 PM - Midnight)
- 3rd shift Stocking Clerk (Available between 10 PM - 6 AM)
- Food Clerk (Available either 6 AM - 3 PM or 2 PM - Midnight)
- Courtesy Team Member (Available between 2 PM - Midnight)
- Plano/Pricing Team Member (Available 6 AM - 3 PM)
- Receiving (Available between 11 AM - 5 PM)
- Gas Station (Various shifts; Must have a vehicle to complete gas runs)
Key responsibilities for these positions include:
* Possessing a sense of urgency and comfort level to be able to work in a fast-paced environment* Building rapport with customers and fellow team members* Displaying a friendly and outgoing attitude that is shown through good eye contact and body language* Providing assistance by responding to customer questions in an effective and efficient manner* Stocking product and maintaining product displays according to merchandising standards
Qualifications:
* Detail oriented and organized
* Possesses good listening and communication skills
* Has adequate knowledge of computer systems and is comfortable using them
* Is process driven and has ability to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way
* Ability to stay calm while working in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product
* Ability to stand for long periods of time
* Reliable transportation; Gas Station positions require a vehicle.
