Job Description & Qualifications


  • Lead system level hybrid or eTransaxle design
  • Cascade requirements and manage interface between system and component level design
  • Identify and prioritize trade-offs between weight, NVH performance, package, efficiency and cost
  • Address launch issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
  • Lead design interface open issues meetings
  • Ability to work with manufacturing and vehicle operations to assure all process issues are addressed and resolved
  • Deliver new programs on-time and on budget
  • Work with interfacing engineering departments to deliver cost reduction and quality improvement actions
  • Understand and deliver system analysis - includes working with external teams to assess and improve transmission and driveline performance
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree
  • Transmission Systems Experience
  • Experience with the following:
    • Program management
    • Powertrain component and system design
    • Quality document development
    • Prototype builds
    • Working with CAD/CAE teams
    • Engineering specification development
    • Problem solving / 6-Sigma
    • Powertrain and vehicle launch
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication
  • Strong Project Management and Leadership Skills
  • Strong Cross Functional Team Skills
