Job Description

Molex is seeking a motivated and organized reliability Engineer with reliability analysis background to join the Design for Reliability (DfR) team. Reliability Engineer's main responsibility would be working with customers and building test and validation plans. In addition, work with design engineers in and design accelerated stress tests, to evaluate product reliability based on physics-of-failure (PoF) from simulations and providing design feedback to meet reliability goals.

What You Will Do In Your Role
      • Develop test plans from Physics of Failure (POF) derived from DFMEA.
        • Responsible for planning testing, analyzing test data, and writing clear and concise technical reports.
      • Align reliability tests with customer requirements & Expectations.
        • Interface with Molex Customers & internal stake holders regarding testing requirements.
        • Engage with customer specification evolution and support proposed deviations.
        • Creation of strong relationship with Customer Reliability Engineers to share and build appropriate reliability test method and associated validity criteria.
      • Responsible for test plan documentation
        • Knowledgeable with test procedures.
        • Develop new Global Test Instructions (GTI) and improve current test procedures.
        • Share progress and updates with the product owners.
        • Optimize DVP&R across a platform or technology.
      • Establish product reliability database through accelerated lab testing and test method development and accelerated field testing such as
        • ALT-Accelerated life testing (i.e. HALT, HASS, ...)
        • FMVT-Stress V strength (Failure mode verification)
        • FSLT-Stress Life curves (Platform testing)
        • Life data analysis (i.e. warranty life prediction, Supplier reliability)
        • Link back reliability test to customer DVP&R

      * Engage with engineering and other stake holders and make design guidelines recommendations based on run to failure testing and stress vs strength analysis.

        • Actively collaborate with engineering team and seek opportunity to develop new/improve existing durability test methodology to enhance product development efficiency, plant QC effectiveness and field performance predictability.
      • Apply problem-solving and analytical skills to conduct failure analysis
    The Experience You Will BringRequirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering from an accredited institution.
    • 5+ years' reliability expertise in reliability analysis, reliability prediction methods and accelerated life testing.
    • Have strong knowledge of testing physics and product to be able to scale accelerated tests across different designs.
    • Applied Reliability tools knowledge (P-Diagram, DFMEA, Reliability Demonstration Testing, Accelerated Life Modeling).
    • Knowledge of ReliaSoft and/or Polarion is an asset.
    • Experience with applied statistics and measurement system assessment such as Gage R&R, SPC.
    • Knowledge of vehicle systems (electronics & controls).
    • Experience with electro-mechanical systems.
