Job Summary
Fishbeck is seeking a Senior Industrial Architect to join our growing Industrial team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in planning and leading medium to large scale projects. This position includes the opportunity to get involved with a variety of industrial, warehouse and distribution facilities.
Primary Functions
  • Develop proposals, project work plans and schedules in collaboration with marketing director.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts with client and subconsultants.
  • Manage client relationship through project development and execution.
  • Lead the technical team in preparing design development and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with in-house engineers and outside consultants.
  • Develop front-end and technical specifications.
  • Oversee project through construction administration.
Minimum Physical Requirements
Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment, visual acuity to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Desired Education
Bachelor of Science in Architecture or Engineering from an accredited university.
Desired Skills/ Experience
  • 10+ years of experience, preferred.
  • Licensure preferred in Michigan with potential to get licensed in Ohio.
  • Knowledge of IBC and NFPA codes applicable to the industrial and manufacturing sector.
  • Experienced in developing projects using Revit.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and BSD Spec Link is a bonus.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
  • Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
  • Ability to work well with others under demanding deadline situations.
