TEAMCENTER PLM ADMIN LEAD
SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN

As a PLM Teamcenter admin lead, the resource's primary role involves overseeing the administration and configuration of the Teamcenter PLM system, ensuring its alignment with organizational goals and standards. The resource will work on a set of PLM admin activities and work with other teams, coordinating tasks, setting priorities, and facilitating collaboration to optimize system performance and support continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the resource is a critical point of contact for stakeholders, representing the PLM team in discussions and decision-making processes related to PLM system enhancements and strategic planning.

The Hour by Hour Task Breakdown with percentages:

  • 40% Teamcenter PLM build, installation, and service monitoring
  • 20% PLM projects and forward initiatives (Upgrades, Automation, Industry 4.0 initiatives)
  • 15% Teamcenter PLM production support L2 issues fixes
  • 15% System interaction/processing (Both Lear IT and Business)
  • 10% internal meetings and reporting

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Siemens Teamcenter Installation and associated Siemens products, Deployments, Upgrade, etc
  • SQL, PowerShell scripting, and Teamcenter PLM troubleshooting.
  • Production Teamcenter PLM L2/L3 support.

Your Qualifications:

PLM Knowledge:

  • Ten-plus years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PLM systems and software, such as Siemens Teamcenter, NX, T4EA, TCRA CATIA, or other PLM solutions.
  • Understanding of PLM concepts and processes, including product data management (PDM), bill of materials (BOM), and change management.
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities as needed.
  • Experience with CAD integration and data management within Teamcenter (e.g. NX and Catia).

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in database management, SQL, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and server administration.
  • Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and other design tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to PLM systems.
  • Knowledge of RPA and performance monitoring tools like Nagios.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Software Proficiency:

  • Experience with PLM software and tools relevant to the organization's needs.
  • Proficiency in software administration, configuration, and customization.
  • Knowledge of software integration and data exchange between PLM and other enterprise systems.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Strong communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, manufacturing, and IT departments.
  • Ability to collaborate and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth PLM system operation
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users, resolving issues in a timely manner.

Problem-Solving:

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues within the PLM system.
  • Capacity to develop and implement efficient processes for managing product data and workflow.

A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as computer science, engineering, information technology, or a relevant engineering discipline, is typically preferred. Some employers may require a master's degree for more senior positions.

Bonus If You Have:

  • Work experience with OEM or major Tier 1 in automotive space.
  • Cloud and SaaS implementation knowledge and certification.
