Beaumont Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)

A new, 144-bed behavioral health facility - Beaumont Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.

Position Summary:

The Lead MHT conducts the shift change hand off at the beginning and end of shift, verify the staff presence on the unit and that the MHTs understand their assignment, assist with de-esculation, assist with new MHT training, assist with obtaining missing patient photos, observe 15-minute checks, that MHTs are using the 2-way radios, wearing the orange rounding lanyards, and observe for cell phone and earbud usage. Facilitate Morning Community Meeting and Evening Wrap Up Groups with documentation of attendance, labeling and filing of patient's goal sheets, encourage techs to follow programming schedule and to maintain the milieu for safety. Assist with unit supplies and restock, ensure environmental rounds are being completed,

Education/Experience:

High School diploma or GED with experience as an MHT

Current Certification in CPI and CPR
