What you will be doing

Summary:

The Intermediate Analytics Data Engineer will be part of a team building the next generation Data Analytics platform. You will contribute to platform design, develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using large heterogeneous datasets developing data engineering products for complex data models that express business processes. Your expertise with leading data technologies results in a valuable modern data analytics platform that supports enabling our patients' access to therapeutic care. Your collaboration and communication skills will establish stakeholder relationships to ensure your data products alignment with our Analytic product goals.
Leveraging your innate curiosity surrounding business processes, strategy and strategic initiatives to drive business value from LashGroup data assets. Partner with Analytics team members and 3rd party Vendor partners to develop data products that drives our B2B/B2C Analytics capabilities and solution portfolio. Analytics Data Engineers are innovative working with new cloud native and open source technologies such as the Azure and Google cloud data platforms. As a member of the team, you will be leading technical design as well as serving as an evangelist for promoting best practice to effectively manage Lash data assets. It will also be expected that this role guide and mentor less experienced members of the team to promote talent from within the team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to data related projects with nominal oversight

  • Liaisons with Enterprise Data and Analytics team members to represent the business unit's strategy and needs

  • Design, develop, and automate scalable data engineering solutions

  • Craft data models of program processes and data entities

  • Develops technical design & documentation of solutions

  • Participates in optimization of data asset performance

  • Transfers knowledge of data access/consumption mechanisms to business stakeholders, data visualization specialists and/or data scientists

  • Implementation of data cleansing procedures

  • Develop solutions and recommendations for improving data integrity issues

  • Partners with other Analytic team members and business stakeholders to drive development of business analytics data products

  • Identifies and validates opportunities to share/reuse existing data/information

  • Conducts unit testing to ensure business analytics solutions meet user specifications

  • Verify data access mechanisms satisfy analytics consumption needs

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in Programming/Systems, Computer Science, or Analytics

  • Involved with small to medium projects to implement data solutions

  • Direct experience with EMRs/EHRs such as Epic or Cerner

  • Minimum of 5+ years working with data, preferably with exposure to large data sets

  • Hands-on experience with data tools and platforms such as Azure, SQL Server, SAP Business Objects, etc.

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience with business intelligence technologies, such as Power BI or Tableau, including dashboard development

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, payer, or health services industry preferred

  • Experience using SQL/NoSQL based languages across structured/unstructured sources

  • Exposure to or understanding of cloud-based data technologies

  • Eager to learn from senior team members and curiosity to independently seek out sources of information for self-learning

  • Ability to learn new data technologies and quickly adapt them to real-world scenarios

  • Strong interpersonal and team interaction skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

$84,400 - 120,890

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
