A Project Manager at SET Environmental is responsible for:
Exercising basic management concepts and principles including delegation and motivation while running large scale projects and/or multiple locations
Field projects from start to completion including assessment of equipment, supplies and paperwork
Proficiency in a variety of environmental services with specializing in a certain area of field work
A thorough knowledge of environmental services issues including, but not limited to profiling, manifesting, transportation and disposal
Reviewing technical aspects of project to assist staff and assess productivity
A thorough knowledge of all federal, state and local laws concerning the operation and scope of the environmental services
Understanding of uses and troubleshooting techniques for diesel or gasoline powered engines and other basic equipment
Understanding proper PPE required for each project and ensure entire crew complies with requirements
Successfully mentoring others in the Operations Department which includes training new employees and taking current employees to the next level
Directly working with customers to better service their needs
Answering spill calls off hours directly from the customer
Performing other miscellaneous duties as necessary
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 5 years field experience
Obtain and keep current all certifications/licenses required (i.e. Driver’s License, 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training, Confined Spaces)
Basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
High School diploma or equivalent
Read and speak English sufficiently
Must be flexible to changes in schedule and be available for “on call” status
Must be able to work in various climates
