Location: 100% Onsite - Dearborn, MI
Position: Systems Engineer, Controls

Position Description:
  • Lead feature validation and verification for all current and new programs
  • Work with Verification/Validation teams, Campaign Prevent Team, Plants and Customers to Triage/Root Cause/Resolve issues
  • Maintain open issues list, review, track and detailed reporting on progress.
  • Work closely with of design and release engineers, architects, analysts, and in-vehicle system engineers of cross functional teams to gain in-depth understanding of complex system concepts and functionality.
  • Execute a Systems approach to feature systems design to meet customer expectations of features through the understanding of the integration of hardware (as applicable), software, sensors, actuators in electrical and electromechanical features/functions systems.
  • Support development of new features/function at the systems engineering level from early feature development to production and manage feature upgrade and migration plan.
  • Review existing system designs to find new opportunities for cost and quality improvements.
  • Interact with program teams, core engineers and functional areas to create balanced solution to competing requirements.
  • Develop relationships and work with supply base to understand feature implementation and areas of automation.
  • Analyze complex cross-functional systems and implement innovative solutions.
  • Lead development of Mini-DV plans and lead discussions with cross-functional teams to support latest feature validation and verification strategies.
  • Communicate complex systems, issues, and resolutions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collect and analyze CAN logs/LIN data.
  • Update ECU software required for validation testing using CAN tools.
  • Conduct feature validation testing.
  • Manage feature validation test fleet and testing schedule.
  • Create and manage JIRA issues associated with feature testing.
