As theContinuous Improvement Specialist,reporting to the Plant Manager,you will coordinate process and lead the execution of continuous improvement strategy of the site. You will deliver main CI initiatives, influence engineers and operators to utilize CI best practices, research, and execute CI projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and deploy CI development plans and set goals, responsibilities, and define KPI targets with site business strategy.
Identify, scope, and implement CI projects; responsibilities include project selection, scope and overall assignment, launch, prioritization tracking and deliverables.
Work with leaders, engineers, and operators to coach CI methodologies.
Ensure the instruction and use of best practices (e.g., LSS, kaizen, DMAIC, GB/YB, 5S, value stream mapping).
Conduct LSS Assessments, define action plans to close gaps and track execution across departments.
Work with Operators to ensure they are trained and assist them as they improve manufacturing efficiencies utilizing best practice CI tools/techniques.
Align with Quality Assurance to deliver cost-effective end-to-end processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or other suitable technical field, Master's degree preferred
5+ years proven experience with LSS/Continuous Improvement in a chemical / food / manufacturing environment
Black Belt certification
