To strengthen our team in Adrian,
we are looking for you as a(n) Supply Chain Specialist II.

The primary objective of this position is to maximize customer order service level at the lowest cost. Cost is controlled through management of inventory and optimized production scheduling. The Supply Chain Specialist position is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating the production schedule within the Chino Silmix location. Included responsibilities are ordering and managing key raw materials to support the production schedule. This position has decision-making responsibility for the production schedule and is critical to the success of fulfilling customer demand and the success of the overall business.

Position Responsibilities

  • Daily scheduling, creating and managing of production orders for the Chino production plant
  • Review of new orders / demand and scheduling of future production, to then provide order confirmations to the customers
  • Ordering and manage supply of critical raw materials to support the production schedule. Manage aged, blocked and restricted inventory with appropriate follow up to ensure actions are completed
  • Daily correspondence and follow up with the production managers, customer service, logistics, quality and others to support the execution of customer delivery

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Direct experience with production scheduled, purchasing, planning and inventory controls preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and work experience with MRP/ERP systems, experience in SAP preferred
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills; Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely to groups and to individuals
  • Excellent planning administration and organizational skills
  • Self-dependent and able to handle exception management
  • Very detail oriented and good follow up
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical skills
