Role Overview

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer where General Azure/Microsoft/Windows management and collaboration skills are paramount. Sectra One Cloud is a service run primarily in Windows environments (there is a few occurrences of Linux platforms as well) in Microsoft Azure. Currently, the footprint consists of between 40 to 100 virtual machines for each tenant (Sectra does not provide Sectra One Cloud as a multi-tenant option). With this comes the natural needs for continuous operations that includes:

Responsibilities
  • Monthly patching of Operating Systems (mainly automatic, but needs to be overlooked)
  • 3rd party and Sectra software patching
  • Operating system or SQL Server upgrades
  • Supervising and monitoring configuration
  • Event management
  • Support management.
  • Extending or upgrade of the environment (for instance, changing to new types of resources within MS Azure)
  • Decommission of resources in the environment
  • Active Directory and user administration
  • Configuration of firewalls, Optimization of services including management of recommendations from governance services and security operations center (SOC).
  • Development and improvements to automation scrips
Qualifications
  • Min - 4 years and Max - 8 years demonstrated ability in similar roles.
  • Proven track record of customer service in addition to technical prowess.
  • Microsoft Certifications.
  • Work in Healthcare, knowledge of HIPAA considerations a plus.

Salary & Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $32,900 - $81,200 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
