GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for the provision of social work services to patients and their families.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
* Master of Social Work degree required.
* Must be a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* ACSW and previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
* Demonstrates understanding of the impact of involvement, personal attitude toward illness, handicaps, death and loss, on the quality of patient care and staff effectiveness.
* Knowledgeable of the basic medical procedures, terminology, etiology and disease process associated with the illnesses of the client population.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
* Licensure in the State of Michigan as a Social Worker (LMSW).
