THE JOB:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager Hotel Operations will execute strategic sourcing activities develop category strategies and manage spend programs designed to maximize the department's contribution to the company meet present and future demand identifying additional managed spend categories, manage vendor relationships and communications, drive cost savings and demonstrate a sense of urgency to prioritize work and solve problems by identifying solutions that last.

Responsible for data management and analysis by reviewing and ensuring that thorough financial, spend, supplier and market analysis are completed for all sourcing projects. Partner with cross-functional project teams to ensure successful project launches, implementation, and compliance. Accountable for supplier selection and contracting by review and approval of the Request for Proposal documents prior to issuance to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Works in conjunction with Corporate Legal to negotiate and execute supplier contracts. Controls program compliance & maintenance in the development and implementation of solutions to identified issues.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Maintain accurate products and services descriptions and pricing in the corresponding systems to ensure smooth ordering and invoicing.

  • Lead the development and implementation of solutions to identified issues.

  • Lead strategic sourcing efforts for assigned categories as required by the company's various properties.

  • Conduct in-depth financial and spend analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.

  • Conduct market and supplier analysis to identify market trends for opportunities to reduce cost.

  • Collaborate with internal customers to determine property requirements and expectations.

  • Develop and issue comprehensive, consolidated global Request for Proposals (RFP's).

  • Conduct RFP analysis to assist in determining award scenarios based on identifying the best supplier to provide the right product, quality, price and food safety.

  • Negotiate, write and execute supplier contracts for assigned projects in conjunction with Corporate Legal.

  • Monitor and report supplier performance, property purchase trends and program compliance.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of solutions to identified issues.

  • Identify and develop qualified diverse suppliers as well as alternative products or processes to support company sustainability initiatives.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field; or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ Years of procurement experience.

  • Experience conducting bid processes (RFI, RFP and informal bids) and negotiating supplier agreements.

  • Experience conducting bid processes (RFI, RFP and informal bids) and negotiating supplier agreements.

  • Experience using S2P and ERP Systems (Coupa, Oracle).

  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management Guidelines.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Inventory Management Concepts.

  • Demonstrated capability to operate independently and with limited oversight.

  • Capable of effectively working in a cross functional environment.

  • Capable of effectively working at a desk for prolonged periods throughout the day.
