Sales Operations Manager

The Sales Operations Manager is a key strategic business partner to our go-to-market sales organization. This role is responsible for proactively establishing strategies and change initiatives to accelerate growth and drive scale within the business. The manager will manage daily operations, including pipeline management, sales forecasting, sales segmentation, territory performance, sales process and productivity improvement, and technology planning for sales tools to help achieve customer retention and sales growth targets. The ideal candidate is expected to have strong analytical, persuasive communication, and problem-solving skills. This candidate will be data-driven, self-motivated, intellectually curious, a fast learner, detail-oriented, and capable of moving quickly while staying focused on high-impact projects and fostering strong relationships with sales leadership & functional partners.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Sales Operations Manager, you will:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for pipeline and forecast activities; analyze data, make recommendations, and present forecasts to leadership for business planning & issues discussions.
  • Partner with GM and segment leadership to set, manage, and execute GTM vision. Proactively make recommendations on process improvements and growth initiatives.
  • Operate as a sales data steward by finding, curating, maintaining, and providing enablement for timely pipeline & pipegen data.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within Commercial Excellence and the reporting organization to ensure consistent reporting standards and processes.
  • Partner with Sales leadership and Commercial Excellence leadership to proactively create and implement strategies for sales process effectiveness that facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.
  • Drive adoption and usage of sales tools & analytics models for performance improvement, consistent reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Assess current operating processes and business model and transition to best-in-class industry practices.
  • Drive innovation in the Sales organization by leading sales pilots and launching new concepts and techniques to accelerate growth and market penetration.
  • Drive operational rigor and framework of expectations necessary to accelerate self-service analytics for the sales organization.

About You

  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence all levels within the organization.
  • Experience with sales processes and the ability to recommend effective workflow solutions for sales quota attainment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to constructively collaborate across channels, functions, and businesses.
  • Strong thought leadership, influential communication skills, and a capacity to guide and direct field-facing initiatives through the leadership team.
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated ability to solve problems and provide practical business insights from complex datasets. * Strong communication skills (both written and verbal, including the ability to synthesize the work of others). * Proven effective project management capability in a highly matrixed, customer-centric organization. * Always focused on doing what's right for the business. High energy and contagious enthusiasm. Willing to take on tough projects and challenges with demonstrated knowledge of the needs of the sales teams.

Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree required. MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in a sales strategy, sales analytics and operations role, or management consulting.
  • Extensive Sales Pipeline and Forecasting process experience.
  • Prior experience with a fast-growth enterprise software company highly preferred.
  • Business operations experience, primarily in project management and process improvements.
  • Analytical mindset with experience creating & executing strategic plans that have success metrics/goals.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
  • Experience managing and influencing in a highly matrixed organization.
