Job Summary/Basic Function | The Summer Technical Assistant position assists with requests and projects within the IT Department. |
Minimum Qualifications | - Must be able to follow-thru on detailed technical instruction. - Deadline discipline and the ability to work independently are critical. - Must have personality and temperament to work cooperatively with students, faculty, and staff. - Experience with repairing and troubleshooting Windows based PCs and software is a must. - Position requires respecting and acknowledging confidentiality of data and information. - Enrolled in Bay College summer and/or fall courses. |

Job Duty | - Assist in installation and troubleshooting of PC software and hardware across the campus - Assist in repair and setup of workstations - Assist in satisfying user helpdesk report requests - Assist in cabling of the network and troubleshooting the network - Assist in maintenance of Internet applications - Explore new applications for Internet access as directed by the Coordinator of Campus User Technology or other ITS staff - Assist in support for ITV and classroom technology - Assist in non-technical activities when requested by the Coordinator of Campus User Technology - Assist with Student Computing Center Lab coverage |
