Your responsibilities

* Partners with local stakeholders, management and teams to drive capital and technical investment plans that support business priorities.
* Highly competent in delivering influential presentations to key stakeholders and leaders.
* Assesses local capital needs and partners to develop capital project plans that align with strategic plans.
* Utilizes engineering techniques, risk analysis and previous experience to develop creative and innovative solutions to project engineering issues in design, cost, schedule and scope.
* Leads teams in the development, design and implementation of capital projects for the site business while effectively balancing customer needs in terms of scope, budget and timeline.
* Understands and assures compliance with all applicable safety rules, building codes and regulatory requirements and internal standards.
* Demonstrates the ability to work cross functionally and with people from a different culture and/or a functional discipline to deliver projects within a timeline.
* Tracks, manages and communicates capital budget/spending and progress to key stakeholders, managers and leaders.
* Exhibits highly effective project leadership skills, self-confidence and decision making skills and promotes teamwork.
* Demonstrates the ability to assess risk and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
* Strives for continuous improvement by learning from successes and mistakes.
* Must be willing to travel internationally depending on project assignments.

The experience we're looking for

* B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years managing capital engineering projects.
* Preferably 5 years experience working in a plant or manufacturing environment as an engineer or related position.
* Solid understanding of capital related finances and how it impacts the business.
* Broad experience in Infant Formula, Food or Powder Pharmaceutical Engineering leading project teams through conceptual to process design, implementation and construction.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and implement investment projects with multidisciplinary teams of diverse people in multicultural environments.
* Experience managing and directing skilled contractors and professional engineering/consulting firms.
* Demonstrated knowledge of utilizing structured processes to control cost, scope and schedule.
* Experience managing the financial aspect of Capital projects from conceptual design to closeout.
* Experience presenting projects to key leaders and stakeholders.

US salary ranges

$104,000 - $156,000

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
