Position Purpose:

The Key Account Manager is a tenured professional who has the proven ability to manage customer relationships at the executive level within hospital IDNs. They will represent the full portfolio of Stericycle regulated waste solutions to include multiple waste streams solutions which address sustainability, compliance, and efficiency at both the health system and patient level. This role is the ultimate owner of Stericycle's relationships with existing hospital customers, providing exceptional account management and solutions to meet customer needs. They are responsible for the profitable growth and retention of their assigned books of business. Accounts managed by this role are typically large, complex IDNs with locations across the US.

The Key Account Manager will cover PA, OH, WV & MI as their territory. The Key Account Manager must reside within the territory.

Key Job Activities:

* Manage assigned key IDN accounts with multiple service lines at corporate level.
* Manage and develop existing accounts to retain and improve profitability, manage renewals, position for additional services, and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with all sales functions and key departments to effectively manage assigned accounts and position for continued growth.
* Grow accounts to identify/develop relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
* Consistently position Stericycle as the industry leader and best solution provider.
* Act as a Trusted Advisor through a consultative sales approach supported by industry and regulatory knowledge and utilization of our network of resources.
* Facilitate effective customer communication, including formal presentations, conversations, active listening, and follow up.
* Determine appropriate strategy to maximize growth and profitability of our existing service(s) and new initiatives.
* Enter and maintain accurate information in Salesforce.com, and follow pipeline guidelines and expectations.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Education:
Required Education: in Bachelor`s Degree or Equivalent

* Education equivalent to Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Management, or other related field, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating a proven track record of sales for products in similar industry.
* Ten or more years of direct and indirect sales hospital experience with a focus on account management, business development and/or emerging markets, or the equivalent in related work experience.
* Wide range of proven sales techniques, with mastery of consultative selling approach.
* Sound knowledge of Stericycle's services, value propositions, and competitive advantages.
* Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* A proven track record of driving and closing enterprise deals and ability to relate with and sell to C-level stakeholders and across business units; successful background in complex, executive-level sales processes.
* Accountability for results and consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals.
* Strong ability to influence and stimulate others to action; engages commitment from others and collaborates to achieve results.
* Viewed by the Stericycle organization as a leader, capable of harnessing internal resources to assist in the pursuit, building of solutions, and solving problems.
* Adept at multi-tasking and handling multiple, simultaneous, and competing initiatives at a high productivity level; operates with a sense of urgency and thrives in a fast-paced competitive environment.
* Proven consultative sales solution skills, including the ability to articulate a clear, concise return on investment value statement; generates new ideas and is a strong creative problem-solver.
* Is an extroverted, confident, enthusiastic, and persuasive individual; exudes confidence based on generalist expertise; strong technical aptitude.
* Passion and commitment for customer success.
* Account planning and execution skills; strong time management skills.
* May require mandatory immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements.
