GENERAL FUNCTION:

Leads in the identification and assessment of regulatory compliance risks related to the Bancorp's commercial services and the execution of procedures to evaluate the Bancorp's compliance with laws, regulations and industry standards. Responsible for regulatory compliance oversight of commercial business units, including the identification of issues and oversight of issue resolution. Works mostly self-directed, with minimal supervisory oversight. Also works within department and cross-department teams.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensuring that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Participates in the analysis of commercial lending products and delivery channels, including strategic priorities, current regulatory focuses, previous examination findings, and input from Audit and provides advisory oversight services to line of business units to identify and mitigate regulatory compliance risks.

*Develops and executes strategies for the identification and mitigation of regulatory compliance risks.

*Assess the adequacy of the business units'/affiliates recommended corrective action to the issues or gaps identified.

*Conducts compliance risk assessments of commercial products and delivery channels.

*Participates in regular meetings with business leaders to assess regulatory compliance risks in the environment.

Collaborates with other risk units (compliance testing, risk partners, legal partners) to provide regulatory compliance expertise and inform their programs.

*Responsible for risk reporting, including publication of compliance risk assessment, regulatory compliance alerts, emerging trends reporting, and other senior management reporting, as necessary or appropriate.

Job Requirements

*Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

*5+ years of experience with regulatory oversight and/or analysis in financial services industry.

*Strong understanding of commercial banking operations and credit products.

*Strong understanding of the Federal Reserve and OCC Examination standards and general regulatory issuances.

*General understanding of fair lending and responsible banking laws and regulations and the technical requirements of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Interagency fair lending, Examination Procedures (IFLEP) and the Interagency CRA Examination Procedures (IEP).

*Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment and apply logical and critical thought processes when developing and recommending solutions.

Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments
