Position Goals:

Effectively develop and expand new and existing customer relationships through a specialization in deposits and treasury management banking services and products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Enhance existing customer relationships through the introduction of new services/products that improve customer satisfaction. Identify and develop prospects for deposit and Treasury Management services into new relationships.
  2. Serve as primary contact for deposit and Treasury Management services with a significant number of customers with moderately complex needs.
  3. Collaborate with consumer and commercial lines of business to schedule and attend joint calls on new prospects for deposit and Treasury Management services. This may include maintenance, upgrading, and problem resolution as it relates to Treasury Management issues with customers.
  4. Identify appropriate deposit and Treasury Management products and services for customers and prospects; coordinate set-up and implementation.
  5. Perform account analysis to review cost of services for potential customers and analyze and make recommendations and adjustments for existing customers.
  6. Manage income production and loss prevention.
  7. Provide functional assistance and training to peers and partners, as it relates to Treasury Management products and services.
  8. Conduct relationship reviews to ensure proper pricing is realized, and appropriate cross-sell opportunities are identified.
  9. Work with the product team to provide feedback on industry trends and competitive threats
  10. Maintains accurate and updated reporting metrics to ensure proper attention and sales results are achieved.
  11. Actively call on clients and source prospects through a proactive outreach.
  12. Review account analysis statements for pricing proposals and RFP requests.
  13. Generally, 20% or less travel required.

Position Requirements:

Education - Associates degree in management, finance, business or related field of study.

Experience - A minimum of three (3) years of business development, sales or related financial services experience.

Other - Ability to transport one's own self to locations within the First Merchants footprint.

Preferred Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in management, finance, business or related field of study.

Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or the ability and willingness to obtain the certification.
