Position Description

We're looking for a full-time Expeditor to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Stanton, TN. This position assists the Project Procurement Team in expediting major equipment and materials/commodities as required for various projects. The Expeditor issues the Material Status Reports, coordinates shipments and monitors delivery schedules as required by project schedules. This position supports the Project Procurement Team during the bid/evaluate & award phase.

As the Expeditor, here's the work you'll do:
  • Prepares & executes the Expediting Plan for the project; Supports the Sourcing Specialist during bid, evaluate & award phase; Expedites the submission of supplier drawings, manuals, placement of material orders, manufacturing and preparation for delivery; Evaluates, mitigates and recommends corrective actions to ensure material/equipment arrives on site in accordance with contractual and project schedule requirements.
  • Coordinates shipments, monitors delivery schedules and shipment processes; Monitors and expedites resolution of OS&D material reports related to purchased materials & equipment; Maintains and issues Material Status Reports per project requirements.
  • Communicates with lead Sourcing Specialist when potential problems arise, ensures project leaders and stakeholders are informed on possible issues/changes to scheduled dates and/or deliverables.
  • Develops and manages supplier relationships; Works closely with Project Procurement Team to ensure all terms and condition of supplier contracts are being adhered to.
  • Establishes and maintains collaborative and positive working relationships with various internal stakeholders including Project Managers and EPC teammates.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including effectively communicating commercial solutions & concepts to procurement and non-procurement personnel.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools and SAP or other ERP applications.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to manage internal and external customer requirements utilizing resources to accomplish tasks efficiently and on schedule in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing trends and broad knowledge of the home office and field procurement processes.
And if you have these qualifications:
  • BS Degree in Business or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Great attitude and team player.
  • Successful completion of background screening process.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $79,040.00 - $118,560.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
