Job Title: Financial Analyst

Work Schedule: Remote, based in Cincinnati, Ohio

Position type: Exempt, bonus eligible

The Financial Analystplays a crucial role in driving decision-making by North America Packaging & Graphics (NAPG) Senior Management for new and existing business customer proposals.This position provides financial insights, forecasting, and support to optimize sales performance, profitability, and revenue growth.Collaborating closely with sales leadership, this position ensures alignment between the financial goals of the organization and sales objectives while maintaining financial integrity and compliance.

The objective of this role is to leverage financial expertise to drive strategic decision-making, optimize performance, and maximize profitability.This role also collaborates with partners across Sun Chemical's functional groups like Sales and Product Management to ensure financial alignment and compliance for all stages of the contract lifespan.

By providing insightful analysis, forecasting, and guidance, the objective is to enable the sales organization to achieve revenue and profit targets, enhance operational efficiency, and ultimately contribute to the overall financial success of the organization.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for preparing WP document and necessary financial analysis (p&l's, etc.) for each customer WP review. Participate in all customer WP reviews with VP Sales and related stakeholders (sales team, product management, etc.); responsible for submitting WP documents into workflow approval process.
  • Responsible for creating financial analysis for customer reviews outside of the WP process. Participate in reviews with relevant parties (VP Sales, President, Product Management, etc.).
  • Create and submit CAR file with necessary documents in order to get approval for customer capital spending. Provide contractual guidance to business team members regarding CAR submittals. This can include contract language, corporate policies/strategies, supporting documentation, researching specific issues and/or companies.
  • Participate in Post-Contract Performance Improvement process. Help provide financial analysis as part of the team of internal stakeholders (Sales Mgt., Product Mgt., Customer Technical Services, Logistics, etc.) to improve profitability level commensurate with the approved WP/CAR/Contract expectations.
  • Audit/Review Customer profitability vs. CAR metrics. Provide Sales Management with guidance as to performance shortfalls, projection variances, etc.
  • Monthly reporting of manning/overtime amounts for invoicing to Customer. Other monthly reporting on as needed basis. Ensure all charges for manning/equipment/etc. remain aligned with contractual agreements.
  • Ensure terms of new agreement documents (Accounts Receivable, Billing Method, Pricing, invoicing customer for manning, etc.) are executed across all relevant functional groups within NAPG.
  • Participate as an NAPG Finance Team member on projects as needed by Manager Contract Administration and/or Finance Director.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative field required.
  • 4+ years experience in a relevant finance position

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Strong financial competence including experience with management reporting, variance analysis and other analyst support functions in forecasting and budgeting. Experience using SAP.
  • Ability to balance multiple, diverse priorities and produce high quality results.
  • Functional knowledge of financial reporting systems and methodologies
  • Sophisticated skills in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and Salesforce.com.
  • Communication skills of explaining sophisticated data topics to non-experts.
  • Project management with a track record of building collaborative relationships.
