We have around 10,000 sales people across the world, within market roles and ranging in areas like Field Sales, Key Accounts, Trade Marketing and Category Development.

About the role

As a Category Manager Walmart Advisor, you will report to the Category Development Team Lead Walmart Advisorship and will be responsible for the modular process at Walmart on a sku intensive exciting modular category. You will be a trusted partner and collaborator in the modular process and the ideal candidate will operate with integrity, develop collaborative relationships, and have 3+ years of experience in modular development and execution.

Your responsibilities

In summary, you'll:

  • Provide expertise in space management including the analysis of financial data and the ability to provide space related insights.
  • Analyse planograms to optimize assortment based on productivity, pricing, product, and placement utilizing third-party data sources as well as Luminate.
  • Utilize test and learn processes to understand opportunities with clustering, product placement and assortment.
  • Strategic thought leadership in optimizing opportunities through merchandising and forward thinking in the aisle of the future integrating the endless shelf to drive Omni category growth.
  • Partner cross functionally with the Advisorship team to implement Walmart's merchandising vision, modular process and deliver comprehensive KPI reporting.
  • Customize strategies and plans to support the retailer's category strategy.
  • Be a self-directed expert that develops and drives initiatives with the support of the team and implements own initiatives from concept to in-store execution.

The experience we're looking for
  • 4-year college degree, MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Walmart Advisership role in a sku intensive category
  • Expertise in JDA / Blue Yonder, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), Syndicated Data (Nielsen, Numerator, etc.), primary and secondary research, and Luminate.
  • Strong oral, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of influencing within cross-functional relationships with key decision makers.
  • Proven ability to develop strong long-term client/customer relationships.
  • Proven analytical skills & ability to successfully integrate different streams of information into sound propositions.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical, decision making and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to learn new tools and capabilities to help develop and support initiatives.
  • Highly proactive with strong time management & organizational skills

US salary ranges

USD $130,000.00 - $196,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
