We are looking for a motivated ESG Specialist for 2024 to join our global Social Impact Institute team. In this role, you will assist the ESG Manager and Social Impact Institute team to calculate and manage all aspects of Thomson Reuters environmental footprint, help develop key public-facing reports, respond to various ESG and sustainability disclosures, and help drive Thomson Reuters ESG agenda.

About the Role

In this opportunity as an ESG Specialist, you will:

  • Assist in global environmental data collection and reporting projects.
  • Manage key steps in calculation of TR's global GHG emissions, including relationship, data, and process management.
  • Project manage creation of TR's public datasheet within our Social Impact Report, as well as key ESG disclosures.
  • Support implementation of applications and tools to improve qualitative and quantitative data gathering and reporting.
  • Research ESG best practices, produce project materials, and organize operation schedules.
  • Assist with coordination and preparation of key ESG and sustainability reports, identify insights from research and data, and make recommendations.
  • Create internal communications materials to build awareness, educate and evoke change in support of ESG strategy and initiatives.
  • Identify, evaluate and/or execute opportunities to activate sustainability messaging at key events, including project planning and content development.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to manage creative projects such as reports and other publishing assets.

About You

You are a fit for the role of ESG Specialist if your background includes:

  • Possess a BA or BS in one of the following or related fields: Business, Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Studies, Climate Science, Life Cycle Assessment, Energy and Environment, Environmental Science and Policy, Sustainability Engagement, Communications
  • 1+ years' experience in sustainability (internship appointments do qualify)
  • Possess proven oral and written communication skills
  • Possess proven data analysis skills
  • Have a working knowledge of MS Office suite and MS Teams

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following metro locations: Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $81,600 - $151,600. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $74,200 - $137,800. The base compensation range in other locations may vary. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
