Job Description

Covers new and/or existing accounts in assigned geography or territory. Prospects new customers or new business at existing customers and closes sales to Corporate Legal (and related) Departments. Positions Thomson Reuters legal suite of products including, but not limited to, Westlaw, Practical Law, Practical Law Connect, Legal Tracker, HighQ and related products/services. May or may not include retaining or renewing existing business.

Location: Remote based role, territory is in Midwest region

About the Role:
In this opportunity as a Sr. Sales Executive, you will:

  • Drive Results: Meet new sales quota
  • Product Proposition: Conduct pre-demo qualifying calls/conversations and short demos
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a pipeline of at least 1.5x quota
  • Sales Process: Prospect, sell and build pipeline for Legal Tracker and HighQ
  • Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong sales partnership with Legal Tracker sales partners
  • Maintain Technology: Update salesforce.com daily and regularly and utilize as only CRM tool; Conduct face-to-face/web-ex appointments

About You:
You're a fit for the role if you have:

  • Minimum of 5 years direct field sales experience (sales experience in the corporate sector preferred) with proven, exemplary track record of sales quota over achievement.
  • Experience and track record in software sales is strongly preferred
  • 4 year college degree required, Law degree a plus
  • Able to work from home office and travel to customer locations. 25-50% travel required.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $182,000 - $338,000. The target total cash compensation range in other locations may vary. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
