TRAINING & AWARENESS SPECIALIST
SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN
-WORLD HEADQUARTERS- HYBRID

The Security Awareness and Training Leader is responsible for the institution's information security awareness and training program. The overall goal of the security awareness and training program is to reduce information security risk by ensuring that all employees and contractors understand corporate security policies and apply relevant information security practices with respect to institutional data and information technology systems.

The Role:

  • Ensure that our Security Awareness and Training program meets all industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Foster the continued growth of a positive security awareness program that drives and encourages engagement to employees at all levels.
  • Develop, plan, coordinate, deliver and/or evaluate training courses, methods, and techniques.
  • Conduct focused security awareness activities with various global and regional business units throughout the year.
  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver the annual Security Action Month activities and events.
  • Identify the top human risks to the organization and the required behavioral changes, and training, to mitigate those risks.
  • Develop or assist with the development of privacy training materials and other communications to increase employee understanding of company privacy policies, data handling practices and procedures and legal obligations.
  • Establish a metrics framework that can effectively measure these requirements

Your Qualifications:

  • Organizational training and education policies, processes, and procedures
  • Familiarity with learning assessment techniques (rubrics, evaluation plans, tests, quizzes), computer-based training and e-learning services, and Learning Management Systems and their use in managing learning
  • Risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk)
  • Laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and privacy
  • Management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles, along with emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities
  • New and emerging information technology (IT) and cybersecurity technologies
  • Experience with media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods, including alternative ways to inform via written, oral, and visual media
  • Comprehensive understanding of an organization's information classification program and procedures for information compromise
  • Creative thinking and understanding of audience to produce engaging materials in a variety of formats and media, including storyboards, user guides, and gamification elements
  • Contributing to periodic cyber intelligence reports that will be delivered to internal audience, helping to enhance situational awareness of management and leadership teams
  • Relating cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation)
