Job Description

The Director of Value Engineering has experience leveraging proven business value frameworks that help company shareholders and stakeholders achieve their targeted, strategic outcomes. This role leads a team of experienced value engineers and industry professionals and together help Infor customers and prospects map and realize their value journey with Infor and the supporting ecosystem. Infor's value-led customer journey spans the customer cycle of prospect, sell, deliver and run in order to create value for customers, Infor, our communities, and the ecosystem. As the Director of Value Engineering, you will lead a team that initiates and leads the customer value mapping process by capturing their strategic business objectives, related targets, metrics, and current challenges. The purpose of this role is to ultimately help the customer and Infor to achieve cycles of mutual benefit together long term.

This is a leadership role that combines competencies of strategy and business consulting, value case development, and positioning the business benefits of technology innovation within Infor's focus industries. Your team will work closely with the sales organization and the solution consulting organization to provide the compelling solution showcase, differentiated value case, and a superior customer experience as you become a trusted advisor with Infor customers.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Uncovering the economic buyer's vision and strategic objectives for investing in an initiative involving industry cloud technology and supporting services.
  • Collaborating with Account Executives to develop a compelling value case that maps shareholder value with Infor solution capabilities, services, and the customer's supporting efforts.
  • Roundtable conversations with customer c-levels of the value case and an aptitude for professional objection handling and ultimately co-ownership of a jointly created value case.
  • Comfortably presenting and messaging the business benefits of Infor's industry cloud and complete platform value.
  • Leading, coaching, and executing alongside your team of people who develop relationships as business advisors with customers / prospects to help them to illustrate the long term value creation of partnering with Infor
  • Your team will:
    • Advise and execute with Account Executives an overall account strategy that helps to position and convert Infor license sales opportunities in a capable and profitable manner.
    • Lead a team of experienced value engineering professionals aligned toward Infor's vision and strategy map in order to maximize team contribution and value creation.
    • Through research and preparation, lead engaging discovery conversations with customer c-levels with an approach that uncovers pain points and hinderances to achieving their strategic objectives and improved shareholder value.
    • Execute, deliver and present industry benchmarking, quantitative ROI analysis, and customer-specific business value cases to the economic buyer and executive team.
    • Continue developing and maintaining Infor's value models and value maps per each of Infor's focus industries, including edge and tech platform capabilities.
    • Lead the team in creating organizationally scalable value assets to improve Infor's cross-dept capabilities in value-led customer journeys, including tracking value realization through KPIs in the Infor product.
    • Assist with the rollout, adoption, and knowledge transfer of latest practices in value-led customer journeys across Infor field teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience leveraging proven business value frameworks to develop effective c-level conversation, relationships, and value cases that help shareholders and business stakeholders to choose the solution path for achieving their strategic business outcomes.
  • Experience coaching and guiding a team of VE professionals who themselves have executive leadership backgrounds and experience.
  • Cross-functional experience including working in a customer setting with other internal teams (sales, solution consulting, product, implementation services, and customer success teams.)
  • Prior industry strategy and value framework / modeling development experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Management experience in process manufacturing, discrete manufacturing, and/or distribution industries.
  • Value management software platform experience
