Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation is a non-profit organization committed to empowering communities by providing human services and community development projects primarily in Southwest Detroit, through collaborations that create opportunities for employment, education and healthy lifestyles.

Founded in 1916, the Detroit Urban League's purpose is to meet the needs of the community through, employment counseling, referral and placement, nutritional programs for child and adult care, health care and drug and violence awareness programs. The mission of the Detroit Urban League is to enable African Americans and other persons of color to achieve their fullest human potential. Volunteer participation welcomed.

Focus: HOPE is a nationally recognized civil and human rights organization in Detroit, Michigan. Our mission is to use intelligent and practical action to fight racism, poverty and injustice. Our programs include a food program for eligible mothers, children and senior citizens; education and training in information technology, manufacturing and engineering; community arts programs; community and economic development initiatives; a manufacturing operation; children's day care and education, conference facilities, and volunteer and outreach acrtivities.
