Job Description
Define and implement the marketing strategy for the payer market segments of the Healthcare & Science business of Thomson Reuters. This includes development of the annual marketing plan, objectives, strategies and tactics to support the company's strategic goals. Define market and solution positioning and consistent key messages across the marketing programs. Direct marketing launch of new products/solutions, manage marketing performance and reporting metrics to senior leadership. The role is responsible for developing the brand, increasing awareness, and developing qualified leads for sales - integral to the growth of the payer segment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee implementation of the annual marketing strategy for payer market solutions
- Work with business strategy team to understand market goals and priorities and translate into focused marketing objectives. Grasp key market trends and competitor information. Keep abreast of emerging marketing approaches and best practices to develop an effective plan and continually improve marketing programs
- Develop thorough understanding of payer solutions and competitive differentiators in order to translate product and service capabilities into clear, compelling marketing messages. Manage consistency of message across the market and work effectively with the broader marketing organization to ensure consistency across the business
- Manage team of market managers to support product marketing, key client communication, and marketing lead generation programs for specific markets/lines of business
- Lead product naming, define positioning and targeting for market overall, and for rollout of individual new products/professional services/solutions
- Manage consistent timing of marketing launch and sales rollout of new products/new releases with product management
- Measure and evaluate marketing results, impact on sales pipeline and improve marketing ROI
- Report marketing metrics and accomplishments as member of payer market senior leadership team
- Develop and manage the marketing budgets in an efficient and transparent process
- Support the company's thought leadership goals via development and promotion of case studies, testimonial, speaker engagements, white papers, etc
QualificationsQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field required. MBA or other advanced degree is desired.
- Minimum of 10 yrs of experience in marketing of products and/or services to public or private payers/purchasers of healthcare, healthcare manufacturers, providers or relevant healthcare experience
- Proven experience in building innovative, proactive, high impact marketing campaigns utilizing all relevant channels and media
- Excellent project management skills; ability to provide direction and support to others
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven experience in managing marketing professionals
- Proven ability to succeed in a matrix organization
- Proven ability to develop and manage budgets
- Proven ability to drive revenue through creative sales channels and marketing programs. Creative thinker with the ability to provide both strategic and tactical direction. Demonstrated leadership ability is critical.

- Occasional trade show work including booth lifting and set up, collateral moving, etc may be required
