| Position Summary | ||
|
Upward Bound Instructors/Tutors are responsible for providing instruction and tutoring to college-bound high school students in specific topic/content areas. Current needed subjects: language arts, mathematics and science. Instructors are part-time, temporary, hourly employees. Employment will run between September 2009 and May 2010. Instructors/Tutors will work Tuesday and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Supervising of field trips is optional and the employee will be paid based on the hourly rate, depending on the length of the specific trip. Positions will be filled according to the specific topical needs of the program. Employees who, in the sole discretion of the College, have provided satisfactory service may be invited to return to the program the following year; however, there is not a guarantee of future employment. Decisions will be made for each position based on factors considered appropriate by management. The upcoming program will run September 29, 2009 through May 31, 2010. Currently, we are seeking instructors/tutors for Language Arts, Science, and Mathematics. ***As of September 28, 2009, we are seeking Science and Mathematics instructors/tutors only. | ||
