The Central Reprocessing Supervisor position is a full-time/first shift (7am – 3:30pm w/flex to variable hours) will perform a variety of responsibilities to assist with the daily operations of the reprocessing department with the goal of delivering high quality patient care. Specific duties will include:

• Orientation, training and monitoring employees in the decontamination process to include the disassembly, sorting and cleaning of instrumentation and equipment,
• Supervises the packaging, sterilization and distribution procedures for patient care products.
• Functions as an educator/resource person for staff utilizing expertise of surgical instrumentation and case carts.
• Ability to perform at all work station and assist staff.

Qualifications:

Knowledge gained through successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technician school program.

Prefer a minimum of three years direct surgical technician experience in the surgical suite or Associate's degree in Business or Nursing with comparable level of education and experience.

Three or more years of management experience and/or Reprocessing supervisory/leadership background preferred. Prior experience working in a preceptor role.

Minimum of 3 years of SPD experience which include extensive knowledge of medical/surgical supplies and sterilization principles and practices.

Completion of a National Central Service Technician examination or completion within one (1) year of employment required.

Ability to assist in developing and maintaining revenue and expense budget accounts. Previous experience with staff scheduling and time and attendance.
