Job Title: Outside Sales / Account Representative

The Account Representative is responsible for acquiring new customers and new business opportunities. Our sales force focuses on selling voice and data products: local, long distance, DSL and Internet services in the Telecom industry. Our Account Representatives'' evaluate the market, develop leads, contact prospects, make appointments and determine needs of the customer. This Sales Position audits the prospect''s system, considers alternatives, prepares professional proposals, makes winning presentations, writes orders, and closes sales. The Account Representative will take responsibility for the care of the customer through transition to the Inside Sales Representatives.
Day To Day Responsibilities
- Contact prospective customers through a combination of telephone and in person contacts, networking and referrals to obtain appointments.
- Make sales calls to determine customer needs, gain information, and discuss viable TDS METROCOM solutions
- Design a tailored, cost-effective telecommunications solution and sales plan for the account.
- Prepare and present the solution in a professional manner using the available resources.
- Write and submit accurate and timely orders following the established sales process.
- Contribute to sales meetings and sales training as directed.
- Participate in trade shows, industry events and customer entertainment activities.
- Maintain relations with contacts and lead sources
Aggressive candidates who have experience cold calling and prospecting.

Associate''s degree or higher OR 2+ years professional work experience
The ideal sales executive must maintain satisfactory quota levels
Winning ''can-do'' attitude and strong work ethic as evidenced by a track record of success in business, education or extracurricular activities
Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to convincingly persuade others as evidenced in personal interviews and via telephone.
Ability to clearly and effectively set goals and then attain them as evidenced by a track record of setting goals, creating a work plan, establishing a reward, working diligently, measuring performance, adjusting as necessary and then accomplishing the goal.
Ability to work independently as evidenced by identifying problems, gathering data, weighing the facts, consulting others as necessary, making decisions and effectively implementing the decision.
Computer literacy (i.e., spreadsheets, word processing, scheduling)

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
2 or more years outside sales experience
1 or more years of experience in prospecting and generating leads through cold calling
Must have and maintain a valid drivers license, reliable transportation and insurance
Other Qualifications:
Telecommunications outside sales experience.
Track record of success in business to business sales.
